I woke up last Friday and decided to pack my camera gear and drive Road to Hana. I’ve driven it probably 6 times, but as a tour guide with friends and family. This was the first time driving solo. I can tell you as a landscape photographer, it’s sometimes better to explore solo when you know you’re going to want to take as much time as you want taking photos. Or go with other photographers who understand it isn’t about stopping somewhere for a couple minutes, taking a cell phone photo, then moving on to the next stop. Slow down. Stop. Disconnect and connect with nature. Breathe.
